Bump Pic! 31 Weeks Pregnant

31 weeks pregnant and I had my Baby Shower!

(I’ll tell you all about this in a separate post and keep this weekly update as an update or it’ll be super long!)

What I will tell you is one of the lovely gifts I received at my Baby Shower was a pregnancy/birthing ball.

Its  basically an exercise ball and I'm in love! Sitting, standing or laying for any period of time, in any position has started to become really uncomfortable, but I can bounce away on my birthing ball for hours and Its so comfy.

My ball came with a leaflet recommending other ways you can use it and various positions that are comfortable to sit and get yourself into while pregnant, as well as positions which are best to help get baby into an optimum position for birth, and as Baby B is transverse, I've been doing these every evening!

With every week that goes by work is becoming more and more of a chore and around 3pm every day I am finding myself in need of a nap, as I sit at my desk feeling like a zombie that could drop off at any point!

I took Friday off work for this very reason, I’m so tired and run down and truly couldn't face another days worth of commuting this week. On the plus side, only 10 working days left before maternity leave!

Baby B moves constantly now and has the hiccups ALL THE TIME! Its cute, but can get really annoying when you’re trying to lay quietly and can just feel these re-occuring pulses in your tummy, which are getting pretty strong now!

Bump Pic! 26 Weeks 6 Days!

This week  I am 26 weeks preggo and Mr B and I went to The Baby show at Olympia to hunt for some bargains!

I was really excited about going as until now we haven’t really done any real baby shopping, bar ordering the nursery furniture, so I was really looking forward to it.

It was, as expected, extremely busy there and I struggled with the lack of available seating and the huge queues for the toilets and cafes on site, even Mr B got the hump!

Seats, Loo’ s and cafes aside, there was a fab range of brands and products at the show and we picked up some great items at fab prices exclusive to the show!

We got...

Some fab WaterWipes

2 Bottles of Eisberg Alcohol free wine(nom!)

A super cute lamb baby soother

We were there for nearly 3 hours and I was ready to drop by the time we left but it was well worth the trip as everything we bough had been heavily discounted and we saved a good amount of money!

It was also the week of the ‘big storm’ and Halloween this week, and me and Mr B ended up being unable to get into work because of the ‘storm’ and train lines shutting down (touch!)

Normally for Halloween I make a real effort, but I didn’t want to splurge on a Halloween outfit that I wasn’t going to be able to wear again and the thought of getting all trussed up made me feel hot and sweaty!

We had a party at work and I made a bit of an effort (as you can see below) but I just wasn’t feeling it really.

Bump is starting to wear me out now too- by the end of the day it feels heavy and its starting to disrupt my sleep more and more- is it too early to start counting down to maternity leave?!

Bump Pic! 19 Weeks!

I feel like Bump has really popped this week and become more rounded! I feel a bit more confident in the way I look now, as I think you can see I am ion fact pregnant, and not just podgy!

I haven’t felt Baby B moving very much since my first flutters last week, apart from one evening when I was laying down and felt what I thought was another flutter.

Thing is, I know that my placenta is anterior and because of that, it will be cushioning some of baby’s movement and kicks, so I may not feel proper movement for a few more weeks yet. Boo!

Skin is still pretty bad, though at the moment (touch wood) I haven’t had any more HUGE ones developing, I’m just working on trying to get rid of the ones that are still plaguing me!

It’s my 20 week scan next week and I am EXTREMELY excited, if a little apprehensive too- I hope all is Ok and well!
